Cookie Policy

Last updated: 12 April 2026

1. About cookies

Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. They serve various purposes including remembering your preferences, enabling site functionality, and providing anonymised usage data. This policy explains which cookies pacavita.com uses, the legal basis for each, and how to control them.

This policy complies with the Privacy and Electronic Communications (EC Directive) Regulations 2003 (PECR), as amended, and the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR).

2. Strictly necessary cookies

These cookies are essential for the website to function and cannot be switched off. They are set in response to actions you take, such as setting your cookie preferences or logging into the portal. Under PECR Regulation 6(4), strictly necessary cookies do not require consent because they are necessary for the provision of the service you have requested.

3. Analytics cookies

We use anonymised, privacy-preserving analytics to understand how visitors use the site. These cookies are only set with your explicit consent via the cookie banner, as required by PECR Regulation 6(1) and UK GDPR Article 6(1)(a). We do not use Google Analytics, Facebook Pixel, HotJar, or any third-party session recording tools.

If we add analytics in the future, this policy will be updated before any cookies are set, and consent will be obtained first. At the time of writing, no analytics cookies are active on pacavita.com.

4. Third-party cookies

We do not use third-party advertising, tracking, or retargeting cookies. No data is shared with ad networks. The only third-party cookies that may be set on our site are:

Stripe cookies are set under PECR Regulation 6(4) as strictly necessary for payment processing. Google Maps cookies are loaded via an iframe and are subject to Google’s own cookie policy.

5. Your choices

You can control cookies in several ways:

  • Cookie banner: On your first visit, a banner asks you to accept or reject non-essential cookies. Your choice is stored in the cookie_consent cookie for one year.
  • Footer settings link: You can change your cookie preferences at any time via the cookie settings link in our site footer.
  • Browser settings: Most browsers allow you to block or delete cookies. See your browser’s help documentation for instructions. Note that blocking strictly necessary cookies may prevent the site from functioning correctly.

Withdrawing consent for non-essential cookies does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before withdrawal (UK GDPR Article 7(3)).

6. Data retention for cookies

Cookie consent preferences are retained for 1 year. Authentication session cookies expire at the end of the browser session or after 7 days of inactivity. If you clear cookies in your browser, your consent preference will be reset and you will see the banner again on your next visit.

7. Changes to this policy

We will update this policy if we introduce new cookies or change how existing cookies are used. The “last updated” date at the top indicates the most recent revision. If we introduce new non-essential cookies, we will obtain fresh consent before setting them.
